Who we are
This website is run by Think Mad Limited, registered in England and Wales, company number 12636177. Our registered office is Cheshire House, Gorsey Lane, Widnes WA8 0RP, and we trade from Suite 26A, Foundry House, Waterside Lane, Widnes WA8 8GT. We are the controller of the personal data described here.

What we collect and why

What happens when you send the form
Your message is emailed to our team’s inboxes, which run on Google Workspace, and a copy is saved in our website’s admin area, where only our team can see it. We use it to reply and, if you go ahead, to set up your project. We don’t add you to a mailing list.
To stop spam, the form checks how long it took to fill in, and uses your IP address for up to ten minutes to limit repeated messages. We don’t keep your IP address with your enquiry. When you start filling in the form, it also uses Google reCAPTCHA to check you’re a person and not a bot. reCAPTCHA sends Google information about your device and how you use the page, and Google’s Privacy Policy and Terms apply.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry details for as long as we need them to respond and follow up, and delete them when they’re no longer needed. Client records are kept for as long as the law requires for accounting and tax purposes. If you agree to analytics cookies, Google Analytics keeps that data for up to 14 months.
Who we share it with
We don’t sell your data. We use trusted providers to run the business, such as Google (email and, if you agree, analytics), our web host, and our accounting, payments and customer-relationship systems. They process data on our behalf and only as we instruct. If any of them process data outside the UK, we make sure appropriate safeguards are in place.
The fonts on this website are stored on our own server, so loading a page doesn’t share your IP address with a font provider.
Your rights
You have the right to ask for a copy of your data, to have it corrected or deleted, to object to or restrict how we use it, and to data portability. Email projects@thinkmad.co.uk and we’ll respond within one month.
If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your data, please tell us first. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
