The Background – Why did Polycon need help from a specialist Agency like Think Mad?

Ged Mason set up Polycon in 2014 having recognised there was a need from prospective clients in his sector to find a channel drainage supplier that could provide innovative and cost effective channel drainage products and solutions.   There are so many different drainage options for a buyer to choose from that it can often be difficult to know which channel drainage option is the best for the application required.

With over 20 years experience in the industry Ged knew that if he could deliver the right channel drainage solution at the right price and spend time helping the customer through the whole process, he would be offering something that most other suppliers did not offer.

In the early years of business the Polycon approach was proven to be correct and the business has gone from strength to strength.   When Ged first set up the business, like any new business, he had a limited budget and the initial budget website that was built to help Polycon have an online presence was looking tired; no longer reflecting the image of a fast growing, innovative and forward thinking manufacturer.   This is were Think Mad come into the picture…

What did the client need us to do?

For this next phase in the business, Ged needed to find a web design agency that didnt just simply build a website based on what he wanted.   He needed a company who could look at his business, and the sector itself, and give him full confidence that they understood the needs of his business.  He didn’t want just another new website that looked amazing on the eye.  He wanted a website that actually worked from the perspective of the buying customer.  A website that clients could use as a source of reference that answered the key questions of…

Of course, as well as this, he did want it to look great aswell!  And thats were our media and digital experience comes in.     Having spoken to a number of web design agencies who showed their full range of designs, none of them gave Ged the confidence that they would be able to deliver on all the brief.   So when we came along offering to not just design a new website, but actually come and work at his office with his team on the project, he was instantly impressed.
