Migration – Mail Sync

This system can be used to help migrate your email to Think Mad Servers by performing a syncronisation from your old email server to your new email service.

You will need IMAP access to the old email account, and also the following information in order to perform a sync:

  • Email username (normally your email address)
  • password to access your email account
  • MX server name / ip address  for your existing email providers email server
  • Connection Type – TLS or SSL –  Know whether your old email server supports TLS or SSL connections

Once we have all the above information, we’re ready to perform a sync.  In simple terms, we will use your details to transfer all your existing emails and set up your hosting.

Remember: This will sync email from the old server to your Think Mad Hosting account

Current Email Account Records - we will need these to transfer your existing inbox to the new inbox on our server

Enter the details of the email account you’re syncing email from.

Connecting your devices

Connect your devices to your new inbox

If you are setting up your emails on a phone, tablet or pc then you just need to go  your account settings, select the advanced options for setting up emails and input the details in the guidance table.   We recommend choosing IMAP but pop3 will normally work
